Week 10: Bears or Berries

This week was much better. I changed my mindset and while its a work in progress i think im fully enjoying trail. Really glad i get to be out here and seeing all that the mountains have. I did get get caught in a thunderstorm right before an exposed ridge, meaning i had to wait to minimize the risk of being struck. People always go indoors during a thunderstorm, hard to do that when "indoors" is just a metal poled tent. It really wasn't that bad, just a little soggy. I think the worst part was being rained on, its quite humbling to witness what earth can do and does so up close. The brilliance and power is unreal. Also in this week I got to explore south lake tahoe and stay with a friend of a friend. I got to see a bear!! First and only so far of trail. I wonder, who was first (name-wise) the bear or the berry. Riddle me that. Overall it was a fulfilling week.
